OUR APPROACH
Startelling is Ancient-Astrology based. In our practice we dig into Astrology's roots by using the ancestral scope from the Hellenistic & Medieval periods, mostly up to the 18th century. That means you won't see us talking about asteroids like Chiron and the outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (they won't be missed, tbh). Yet, we know how to make the tradition fit into current times.
You wonder, "how does an old theory & practice still be relevant without necessarily being 'updated?'" Well, it's simple: context! Science must evolve its experiments; history must track society's moves, and Arts in between reflect any humanistic, scientific field, and even reality without having to commit "to advancement" because an expressive outcome is the point. Astrology, in that sense, is still relevant because it can understand one's current life context even though its roots lay centuries ago. That’s why you won't see us talking about Asteroids and the outer planets cuz they are modern "add-ons." Considering how old astrology is (5 thousand years B.C.!), they don't belong to tradition since they weren't
discovered when astrology was set. Moreover, Astrologers didn't use plausible criteria to include them at the time.We reinstate as a fresh new astrology space that it's possible to create new tools & approaches; there is room to accommodate new research. But astrology is a hermetic study; there are reasons for its scope to be. Things shouldn't be added randomly or because NASA has discovered a new object. Having minimal ancestral-historical judgment and taking astrology's foundation as a starting point for any new creation should be, at least, a requirement for further evolution in our field. Startelling will work-hard play-hard to make the ancient practice a must-know!
Our astro tool
kit includes:
The Sect Light
When the Sun is placed above the horizon line, one's chart is diurnal. Thus, the Sun is the luminarie of the sect. A Sun below the line makes the Moon the luminarie of the sect
 The Seven Planets
In the traditional model, the Earth is “wrapped” by the planetary spheres, where the celestial bodies (aka planets) can be seen with the naked eye, thus setting the astrological thinking.
